At the end of 2018, a social revolt began in Chile in which citizens demonstrated against the political functioning, revealing serious shortcomings in the country's social and economic system. The idea of changing an obsolete constitution to make way for a new one, one with a wind of change and written by the new generations, is created. The demonstrations were of a social nature without parties or political color. The teaching group "pedagogía popular constituyente" opted to take actions within the area of education through councils and informational meetings to make their vision on the future of education in Chile known to the public.
